
March 21, New Delhi – Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, today to discuss regional developments and strengthen bilateral cooperation.
During the conversation, the Prime Minister conveyed his warm greetings on the occasions of Eid and Nowruz. Both leaders expressed hope that the festive season would usher in peace, stability, and prosperity in the West Asian region.
Prime Minister Modi condemned recent attacks on critical infrastructure, noting that such actions threaten regional stability and disrupt vital global supply chains. He reiterated the importance of safeguarding freedom of navigation and ensuring that international shipping lanes remain open and secure.
The Prime Minister shared a post on X, stating:
