
March 08, New Delhi – Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a large gathering after inaugurating and laying the foundation stone for development projects in Delhi. He began his address by wishing the nation’s women a Happy International Women's Day.
Prime Minister Modi praised the development work of Delhi’s double-engine government. He said that development in the capital has gained new momentum and infrastructure is rapidly strengthening. The Prime Minister also took a dig at the previous Arvind Kejriwal government in Delhi.
Prime Minister Modi also accused the Mamata Banerjee government in West Bengal of disrespecting President Droupadi Murmu. He alleged that the All India Trinamool Congress government mishandled an event when the President attended a celebration of the Santhal tribal tradition and accused the state government of being arrogant.
