March 23, New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing the Lok Sabha amidst the ongoing West Asia conflict, stated that the situation arising from the war is likely to have long-term effects. He urged citizens to remain calm and united during this period of crisis.

PM Modi called on state governments to take strict action against those spreading misinformation and engaging in black marketing. He stated that since the beginning of the conflict, the Government of India has been ensuring the safety of Indians and is in constant touch with concerned authorities to safeguard those in the region.

Expressing deep concern over the situation, the Prime Minister said India is making diplomatic efforts to ensure smooth movement of ships in the conflict-hit region. He described energy as the backbone of the economy and noted that the ongoing conflict is impacting the global economy.

He assured that the government is closely monitoring the evolving situation and remains fully alert to take necessary steps.
