March 24, New Delhi - On the sixth day of Chaitra Navratri, devotees offer prayers to Maa Katyayani, the sixth form of Goddess Durga. She is revered as a powerful warrior goddess.
Maa Katyayani is believed to have been created from the combined energy of the gods to defeat the demon Mahishasura, symbolizing strength, courage, and the victory of good over evil.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi sought the blessings of Maa Katyayani and said that worshipping Maa Jagadambe fills the mind with infinite energy and inner strength, while her divine radiance illuminates the heart with higher consciousness. He prayed that, with the blessings of the Goddess, who is the embodiment of divinity and valour, all her devotees are endowed with immense strength and self-confidence.
The Prime Minister shared a Sanskrit verse:
“Chandrahasojjvalakara shardulavarvahana. Katyayani Shubham dadya Devi danavghatini॥”
The Prime Minister also shared a recitation in praise of the Goddess.
The Prime Minister wrote on X:
“Salutations to Maa Katyayani! With the grace of the Goddess, the deity of divinity and prowess, may all her devotees be endowed with immense power and confidence.

Katyayani Shubham dadya Devi danavghatini॥”
In another post, PM Modi stated, “Worship of Mother Jagadamba fills the mind with infinite energy and inner strength. The divine radiance of Goddess Mother illuminates the heart with divine consciousness.”
