Prime Minister Narendra Modi began a two-day state visit to Israel this morning. This is his second visit to Israel. During the visit, Prime Minister Modi and his Israeli counterpart, Benjamin Netanyahu, will review the significant progress made in the India-Israel Strategic Partnership.

They will discuss further opportunities in various areas of cooperation, including science and technology, innovation, defense and security, agriculture, water management, trade and the economy, and people-to-people exchanges.

The leaders are also expected to exchange perspectives on regional and global issues of mutual interest. Ambassador of India to Israel, J P Singh, told our correspondent that the Prime Minister will address the Israeli Parliament, the Knesset, today. He said that Prime Minister Modi is the first Indian leader to address the Israeli Parliament. Tomorrow, the Prime Minister will meet with the President of Israel, Isaac Herzog.

The Ministry of External Affairs has stated that this visit will reaffirm the deep and long-standing strategic partnership between the two countries and will provide an opportunity to review common challenges as well as realign efforts towards achieving their shared vision for a robust partnership between two resilient democracies.
