
February 26, Israel – Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Israeli President Isaac Herzog today during his state visit.
Prime Minister Modi, along with President Herzog, planted a tree in the Presidential Gardens as part of the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' (One Tree in Mother's Name) initiative. During the visit, the Prime Minister also invited President Herzog to visit India in the near future, and he signed the visitor's book at Yad Vashem, the Holocaust museum.
Earlier, Prime Minister Modi visited Yad Vashem, Israel's official Holocaust memorial, accompanied by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Yad Vashem Chairman Dani Dayan. The leaders toured the Book of Names, which documents the 4.8 million Jewish victims, and participated in a memorial ceremony at the Hall of Remembrance.
