
Ambassador of India to Israel, J. P. Singh, stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Israel will be a historic one. Speaking to Akashvani News in Jerusalem today, Mr. Singh said that besides holding talks with his Israeli counterpart, Benjamin Netanyahu, Mr. Modi will also meet with the President of Israel, Isaac Herzog, and address the Israeli Parliament, the Knesset. He added that when Prime Minister Modi visited Israel in 2017, he and Mr. Netanyahu had laid the foundation for strengthening bilateral ties. Mr. Singh stated that the time has now come to build on that strategic partnership and take it to a new phase. He further said that several agreements will be signed after the talks between the two Prime Ministers.
The Indian Envoy said that the visit is important in the context that the Israeli and Indian ecosystems complement each other. He said that the talks will focus on innovation, science and technology, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, quantum, and other areas.
