
Guwahati, April 1 Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited a tea garden in the Dibrugarh district of Assam on Wednesday, where he interacted with the female workers.
Modi is on a day-long visit to the state to address two campaign rallies for BJP candidates.
"We are very proud of the efforts of every tea garden family. Their hard work and perseverance have enhanced Assam's pride," the PM said on X after visiting the Manohari Tea Estate.
Modi was also seen picking tea leaves with a group of women wearing traditional white and red bordered sarees.
"The picking of tea leaves was followed by the women talking about their culture and, of course, taking a selfie!" he said in another post on the social media platform.
The PM shared some photographs on social media, stating that these are glimpses from a tea garden in Dibrugarh.
