Cachar Police Seizes Heroin Worth ₹1.2 Crore, One Trafficker Arrested
In a major anti-drug operation in the Cachar district, police seized heroin worth ₹1.2 crore and arrested one suspected trafficker.
Acting on specific intelligence, a joint team from the Lakhipur Police Station and the Kachudaram Police Station launched an anti-drug operation in a border area of the district.
During the operation, a police officer was injured after being attacked by the suspected trafficker, according to the district's Additional Superintendent of Police.
Police also recovered a mobile phone from the scene during the operation. Further investigation into the case is ongoing.
