Noida, February 19 Several schools in the Gautam Buddh Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh received bomb threats on Thursday, which police later confirmed were hoaxes.

According to police, the threats were received via email by various schools in the district, prompting security agencies to take action.

"The Gautam Buddh Nagar Police immediately responded and ensured that all schools were checked by the bomb disposal squad, anti-sabotage check team, and dog squad," the police stated in a statement.

Intensive searches are ongoing at the schools, and nothing suspicious has been found so far.

Police said that a technical investigation into the source of the email is being carried out by the cyber team with utmost seriousness.

"The situation is completely normal, and there is peace and order in the area. People are advised not to pay attention to rumors," the police said.
