Beed, March 18 A 16-year-old boy has been detained for allegedly sexually abusing a minor girl in the city of Beed, in central Maharashtra, police said on Wednesday.
According to police, the six-year-old girl was walking past the house of the accused when he offered her fruit and lured her. The boy then took the girl to the first floor of his house and sexually abused her on Monday evening.
After returning home, the victim told her mother about the incident, who then filed a complaint with the Pethbeed police station on Tuesday.
The accused teenager, who was booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act following the complaint, was later detained and sent to a remand home, according to police.
