Gurugram, March 16 A 26-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the third floor of the Ambience Mall here, police said on Monday.
No suicide note was recovered from the scene, officials said.
The incident took place on Sunday, around 3 pm, when Dishant, a native of Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh, had gone to the mall.
Dishant initially stood near a food outlet where he had just eaten, after which he crossed the railing and jumped, police said.
Mall security and staff personnel rushed to the scene and took him to a nearby private hospital, where he died during treatment, they added.
Upon receiving information, a team from the DLF Phase 3 police station reached the mall and inspected the scene.
The police team informed the family, who told them that Dishant left home on Saturday afternoon after telling his family that he was going to get pizza.
"When he did not return, his family tried calling him several times, but his phone remained switched off. No suicide note was found at the scene, and an investigation is underway," a senior police officer said.
