The deadline for filing nomination papers for the assembly elections in Assam, Kerala, and Puducherry is today. Voting in these two states and the Union Territory will take place in a single phase on the 9th of next month.

The scrutiny of nomination papers will begin tomorrow. The last date for withdrawing candidature is March 26th.

In Tamil Nadu, voting will take place in a single phase on April 23rd. In West Bengal, voting will be conducted in two phases on April 23rd and 29th.

The notification for Tamil Nadu and the first phase of assembly elections in West Bengal will be issued on April 30th. The notification for the second phase of polling in West Bengal will be issued on April 2nd.

The counting of votes for all four states and the Union Territory will take place on May 4th.

The term of the 126-member Assam Assembly will end on May 20th, while that of the 140-member Kerala Assembly will end on May 23rd.

The 30-member Puducherry Assembly will complete its term on June 15th. The term of the 234-member Tamil Nadu Assembly will end on May 10th, while that of the 294-member West Bengal Assembly will end on May 7th.
