
Panaji, March 30 Aam Aadmi Party national convener Arvind Kejriwal arrived in Goa on Monday to campaign for his party's candidate in the Ponda by-election scheduled for April 9.
Party leaders said he will be meeting renowned spiritual leader Swami Brahmeshanand in Kundaim near Ponda and visiting St. Anne's Church on Tuesday. The former Delhi chief minister will address a public meeting in Ponda on Wednesday, they added.
Businessman Geetesh Naik is the AAP candidate for the Ponda by-election. He will be contesting against BJP's Ritesh Naik, son of former agriculture minister Ravi Naik, whose death necessitated the by-election. The Congress has fielded physiotherapist Dr. Ketan Bhatikar.
The results of the by-election will be announced on May 4.
