POONCH, FEBRUARY 18: The Social Welfare Department of Poonch organized a "Senior Recognition Ceremony" to honor senior citizens for their contributions to society. Deputy Commissioner Ashok Kumar Sharma attended the event, presenting Senior Citizen Certificates to five beneficiaries.
The program featured a guest lecture by Dr. Anu Bhardwaj on preventive healthcare and lifestyle management, an interactive Q&A session, and cultural performances by singer Master Kartar Chand. Shawls and warm bottles were distributed, with support from banks and the Ayush Department providing free medicines.
Officials including ADC Tahir Mustafa Malik, ACR Muhammad Sayeed, CMO Dr. Parvaiz, and other district representatives attended, highlighting the department's commitment to the welfare and dignity of senior citizens.
