Poonch District Conducts Inspections to Prevent Petroleum Shortages.webp

To prevent the illegal hoarding of petroleum products, District Magistrate Poonch, Ashok Kumar Sharma, formed special teams to conduct surprise inspections at LPG dealer points, storage facilities, and petrol pumps across the district.

This action was taken in response to public complaints about a potential shortage of petroleum products and rumors about black marketers illegally stocking LPG cylinders and other essential items to create artificial scarcity.

During the inspections, the teams checked stock registers, storage arrangements, and distribution records at various outlets to ensure that petroleum products were being supplied according to prescribed norms and that no hoarding or black marketing was taking place.

The district administration warned dealers and traders against engaging in such illegal activities, stating that strict action would be taken against those found violating the rules.

The administration also appealed to the public not to panic or spread rumors, assuring them that sufficient stocks of petroleum products are available in the district.
