POONCH, MARCH 2: Under the guidance of Rajinder Singh, a Taekwondo coach and national referee from the Department of Youth Services & Sports, J&K, over 1,000 students—primarily girls—have been trained in self-defense martial arts (Taekwondo) in the Poonch district. The academy has successfully produced over 20 students with Black Belts (girls certified by Kukkiwon, South Korea), 5 girls who have won national-level medals, 4 boys who have won national-level medals, including one All-India National Gold Medalist, and over 60-70 girls who have won gold medals at the J&K UT level.
