
The sacred occasion of Jamat-ul-Vida, the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, was observed with great religious fervor across Poonch on Friday.
Thousands of devotees gathered at mosques and Eidgahs throughout the district to offer special communal prayers. Major congregations were seen at the historic Eidgah and various mosques in the town and surrounding areas, where worshippers assembled from early morning.
Devotees engaged in reciting the Holy Quran and making supplications, while religious scholars delivered sermons highlighting the spiritual significance of Jamat-ul-Vida. Imams urged the faithful to uphold the values of peace, unity, and brotherhood, and to work towards the welfare of society.
Special prayers were also offered for lasting peace, prosperity, and communal harmony in the region.
The district administration had made necessary arrangements, including security deployment and traffic regulation, to ensure the smooth conduct of the prayers.
Following the prayers, people exchanged greetings and prayed for the well-being of the community, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere throughout the entire district.
