In Jammu and Kashmir, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah chaired a review meeting of the Power Development Department at the Civil Secretariat in Jammu on Monday to assess measures aimed at providing relief to the public. An Akashvani Jammu correspondent reports that the Chief Minister directed officials to ensure a reliable and uninterrupted power supply across the region. Emphasizing responsive governance, the Chief Minister asked the department to promptly address public grievances related to electricity services. He also stressed on strengthening service delivery mechanisms. Officials briefed him on ongoing projects, the status of power supply, and measures being taken to upgrade infrastructure and enhance efficiency in the power distribution system.
