
Jaipur, February 27 President Droupadi Murmu took a flight as a co-pilot in the 'Prachand' Light Combat Helicopter near the India-Pakistan border in Jaisalmer district, Rajasthan, on Friday.
The LCH took off from the Jaisalmer Indian Air Force (IAF) station. Before the flight, the pilot briefed the President. Dressed in an olive green uniform and helmet, she waved from the cockpit before departing.
The 'Prachand' is India's first indigenous combat helicopter, designed and developed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited.
