Prayagraj (UP), March 12 A woman is alleged to have killed her five-month-old son by crushing his head after an argument with her husband in the Ganga Nagar area here, police said on Thursday.
According to the police, the incident occurred on Wednesday night in Pilkhani village, where Manorama Yadav had an argument with her husband, Santosh, over an issue.
Following the dispute, the woman allegedly struck the infant on the head with a piece of flooring tile, resulting in his death.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Ganga Nagar), Kuldeep Gunawat, said the woman hid the child's body in the kitchen after committing the crime.
Police arrested Manorama on Thursday and recovered the weapon used in the crime, a piece of broken floor tile, the DCP said, adding that an investigation is underway.
