Amaravati, March 18 Andhra Pradesh CEO Vivek Yadav held a training program for deputy district election officers on the upcoming Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll at the Secretariat on Wednesday.

"The Chief Electoral Officer, Andhra Pradesh, conducted a training program for... the Commissioners of Municipal Corporations in the State, who have been newly designated as Deputy District Election Officers for the Special Intensive Revision," an official release said.

A total of 15 municipal commissioners, along with two additional municipal commissioners, attended the training program.

They came from the urban local bodies of Vizag, Srikakulam, Eluru, Guntur, Nellore, Kurnool, Chittoor, Tirupati, and others.

The CEO explained the need for conducting the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll, the key processes involved, and the various roles of officials at different ranks.

Technical training was also provided on mapping electors in the BLO-App, while the CEO emphasized the importance of mapping all electors in the current electoral roll with the electoral roll of 2002.

Yadav stressed the importance of training all Booth Level Officers in their respective areas for the upcoming SIR.
