Lucknow/Mirzapur (UP), March 17 Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited the Maa Vindhyavasini Temple in Mirzapur on Tuesday and prayed for the prosperity of the state, Uttar Pradesh.

Adityanath offered a red 'chunari' (scarf) to the goddess and performed parikrama (circumambulation) of the temple, the UP government said in a statement.

The chief minister also reviewed the preparations for Chaitra Navratri and Ram Navami and instructed the administration to ensure adequate arrangements for devotees and emphasized on maintaining cleanliness in and around the temple premises.

Adityanath also inspected the Vindhyavasini Corridor and nearby stalls.

During the visit, he interacted with some devotees and children and inquired about their well-being and studies.

The CM also distributed chocolates among the children.

UP Cabinet Minister Ashish Patel, MLA Ratnakar Mishra, MLC Vineet Singh, along with other local public representatives were also present there, the statement said.
