A training program for Hajj pilgrims was organized at Eid Gah Ideal Colony to provide guidance on the Manasik-e-Hajj and ensure a smooth pilgrimage experience.
The session covered key aspects, including the correct performance of rituals, safety precautions, travel documentation, accommodation arrangements, and vaccination requirements. A total of 32 pilgrims from the district attended the program.
The training was conducted according to the directions of the Executive Officer of the Jammu and Kashmir Hajj Committee and is part of a larger series of awareness programs being held across the Union Territory.
Officials informed that a total of 4,717 pilgrims from Jammu and Kashmir will perform Hajj in 2026. The first batch is scheduled to depart from Srinagar International Airport on April 18, with flights operating until April 28 in multiple batches to Saudi Arabia.
Authorities also reiterated that self-cooking has been completely banned for pilgrims, with meals to be provided through authorized catering services to ensure safety and convenience during the pilgrimage.
