March 02, New Delhi – President Droupadi Murmu attended the "Empowered Women, Prosperous Delhi" program in the national capital today.
President Murmu launched several key schemes for women, including free LPG cylinders for Holi and Diwali for over 15 lakh families, the Saheli Pink Smart Card for free bus travel, the Delhi Lakhpati Bitiya scheme, and a direct benefit transfer of nearly ₹100 crore to over 40,000 girls under the Meri Punji Mera Adhikar scheme.
Addressing the gathering, the President said that these initiatives will empower the sisters and daughters of Delhi and help bring prosperity to the city, adding that the country is now moving towards women-led development.
