Prime Video Announces Star-Studded Slate: Roshan, Alia, and More.webp

Mumbai, March 19 – Prime Video announced a star-studded lineup on Thursday, including projects with actors Hrithik Roshan and Alia Bhatt, while critically acclaimed shows like “Panchayat”, “Dahaad”, and “Farzi” are returning with new seasons.

Hrithik has partnered with the streaming platform for two projects that he will produce under his banner HRX Films, a feature film, “Mess”, and a series, “Storm”.

“Mess” is directed by Rajesh A Krishnan, known for “Lootcase”, and also stars Ranvir Shorey, Gajraj Rao, and Anurag Thakur, while “Storm” is directed by Ajitpal Singh, known for “Tabbar”.

“I’m an actor, and I have a fear of failure. Every instinct tells me, ‘This is impossible’. But I push through that, and from that space, HRX was born to inspire people who face impossible challenges in their lives, like I did.”

“But I sit in the producer’s chair with HRX Films with a different feeling. I sit purely out of love, my irreplaceable and unconditional love for cinema. Here, I truly feel the freedom,” Hrithik said at the Prime Video slate announcement press conference.

Alia is producing “Don’t Be Shy”, a coming-of-age film, for Prime Video, under her banner Eternal Sunshine Productions.

“Our company, Eternal Sunshine Productions, is a small, passionate, and new production company. Shaheen and I decided that we want to give sunshine to the movies that have given us sunshine,” Alia said.

“‘Don’t Be Shy’ is a film that we can’t wait for the audience to see. At Eternal Sunshine, we always want to support stories that feel honest and voices that feel their own,” the actor said.

The team behind the much-anticipated film, “Mirzapur: The Movie”, expressed enthusiasm and said they are thrilled to bring the story to the big screen.

The upcoming film is the cinematic extension of the popular “Mirzapur” series, and it is directed by Gurmmeet Singh, who has previously directed the series. It is written by Puneet Krishna.

“After three years of immersing ourselves in the world of ‘Mirzapur’ with such great characters, I think the moment Puneet came with this idea (of making a film), it felt he opened the door to a new world,” Gurmmeet Singh said.

“It was amazing to be able to transport all these characters into a world with such a massive scale, with no holds barred, where our imagination can take us wherever we want. It’s amazing to share this with the audience on the big screen,” he said.

The film features Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyendu, Abhishek Banerjee, Rasika Dugal, Shweta Tripathi, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Harshita Gaur, and others.
