
Pratapgarh, March 18 The District Magistrate has suspended two court employees, including a 'peshkar', after files from the Sadar Tehsil court were found at a local printing press, officials said on Wednesday.
Action was taken following reports on social media and inputs from local lawyers. Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Sadar) Nancy Singh said the files from the Tehsildar court were recovered on Tuesday from Pawan Printing Press in the Babaganj area near the Tehsil.
"Upon receiving information from lawyers, a raid was conducted at the printing press. The files were recovered, and the establishment was sealed," the SDM said.
District Magistrate Shiv Sahay Awasthi has suspended 'peshkar' Asharam and another employee, Rajesh Pandey, in connection with the lapse.
Chief Revenue Officer Ajay Tiwari has been tasked with investigating how the judicial files reached a private printing press. Officials said further action will be taken against the responsible staff and officers based on the enquiry report.
