
New Delhi, April 8 "Ramayana" producer Namit Malhotra says the team behind the movie values "every conversation, excitement, and thoughtful feedback," and he hopes to release the movie on a grand scale during Diwali this year.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, known for "Dangal," the movie features Ranbir Kapoor as Ram, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravana.
The recent teaser of the film sparked a debate, with some praising the scale while many criticizing the special effects.
Malhotra, who is producing the movie and also heads the VFX company DNEG, shared an update on the film days after the teaser launch.
"The response over the past few days has been truly overwhelming, inspiring, and humbling. Seeing how our 'Ramayana' continues to touch countless hearts around the world fills me with deep gratitude and joy. I deeply value every conversation, the excitement, and the thoughtful feedback. This is a story etched into the souls of billions, and it deserves our utmost care and respect," he wrote.
The producer said that behind the scenes, there are thousands of artists and collaborators working on the project, and they are "incredibly passionate, energized, and committed to delivering excellence in every aspect."
