
Minister Javed Ahmed Rana, who is in charge of water resources, chaired a virtual review meeting to assess the progress of ongoing development projects being carried out by the Public Works Department (PWD) in Mendhar, in the Poonch district.
During the meeting, the Minister conducted a detailed review of projects being implemented under the SASCI scheme, infrastructure projects related to EMRS, various road projects funded under the UT Capex budget and NABARD, as well as the ongoing drainage system works in Mendhar town.
Rana emphasized the need to maintain strict quality standards and ensure adherence to prescribed timelines. He instructed officers to proactively address any bottlenecks and expedite project execution so that the benefits of development initiatives reach the public without delay.
Highlighting the importance of efficient implementation, the Minister said timely completion and quality execution of projects are essential to effectively address public concerns and strengthen infrastructure in the region.
Officials were instructed to closely monitor progress and ensure coordinated efforts for smooth and transparent execution of all ongoing projects.
