Hyderabad, March 18 A man is alleged to have killed his cousin over a property dispute and thrown her body parts into a lake, police said on Wednesday.
The man has been arrested.
The accused reportedly hit the woman (40) last month with a stick after an argument over a property issue, resulting in her death. The accused (32) then kept her body in a bathroom.
The next day, he took the body, with the help of another person, to a lake where he cut her legs with a saw and threw the body parts into the water.
The accused and the deceased had jointly purchased a property, and she demanded that he transfer her share, which he refused to do.
According to police, the woman, a widow, had a quarrel with him after he objected to her relationship with another person.
The body parts were recovered while trying to trace her as she went missing, police added.
