Kishtwar, March 30, 2026: The District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Kishtwar, conducted a workshop on child rights and the role of the Child Helpline 1098 at PAALASH, a government-run Boys Child Care Institution (CCI).
The Chairperson of the Child Welfare Committee, Sheetal Nain Sharma, highlighted the importance of children's rights, while Protection Officer Deepika Bhandari explained aspects of institutional care under the Juvenile Justice Act.
District Child Protection Officer, Tariq Parveaz Qazi, emphasized that protecting children's rights is a collective responsibility of parents, institutions, and society. Inmates from various Child Care Institutions actively participated in the workshop and were honored for their engagement.
