
REASI, February 17: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Reasi organized a series of awareness programs across the district under the leadership of Chairman Khalil Choudhary and the guidance of Secretary Pooja Gupta.
At the Katra Court Complex, a session on "Mediation for Nation 2.0" was conducted by PLVs of TLSC Katra, where Panel Advocate Rajkumar Nagotra highlighted mediation as a voluntary, confidential, and cost-effective dispute resolution mechanism.
Door-to-door campaigns on "Save Daughter, Educate Daughter" and "Child Marriage Free India" were held in Theot and Mahore, focusing on girls' education, gender equality, and preventing child marriage.
PLVs also conducted awareness drives on agricultural schemes, particularly the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY), at Village Kotla, informing farmers about crop insurance benefits and claim procedures.
Additionally, a program at Village Kheralaid highlighted the negative effects of dowry and related legal provisions, urging the promotion of gender equality and the protection of women's rights.
