Protecting Migratory Species: India's Role at CMS COP15.webp

New Delhi, March 24 India emphasized its commitment to protecting migratory species at the ongoing 15th Conference of the Parties (COP15) of the Convention on Migratory Species (CMS) in Brazil, officials said on Tuesday.

"At the ongoing COP15 of the Convention on Migratory Species (CMS), India highlighted its commitment to protecting migratory species and specifically mentioned the current stage of establishing the Central Asian Flyway Initiative," the Ministry of Environment said in a post on X.

"India thanked the CMS Secretariat for their efforts and support, and expressed appreciation to the Government of Brazil for hosting the meeting," it added.

The 15th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS COP15) is being held from March 23 to 29 in Campo Grande, Brazil.
