The BJP also criticized the protests, calling them inappropriate and accusing the Congress of disrupting the international event. Union Minister Kirin Rijiju also condemned the protests, stating that they had damaged the image of the country.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also condemned the shirtless protest by young Congress workers at the India AI Impact Summit, stating that it demonstrated that the country's oldest party had become ideologically bankrupt.
