Chandigarh, April 2 The Punjab and Haryana High Court received a bomb threat email on Thursday, with officials stating that no suspicious activity was found.
Following the threat, police, fire brigade officials, a bomb squad, a dog squad, and an ambulance were dispatched to the high court complex to conduct a security check, they said.
The email came a day after an explosion occurred outside the Punjab BJP office in Sector 37 on Wednesday, when a suspected small explosive device was thrown.
No casualties were reported in the blast.
Previously, similar bomb threats had also been received by the Punjab Civil Secretariat, the Passport office in Chandigarh, and various schools in Amritsar, Jalandhar, and Patiala in Punjab and Haryana.
All the threats turned out to be hoaxes.
