
Chandigarh, March 25 The Punjab government is committed to employee welfare and ensuring timely resolution of their issues, said state Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema on Wednesday while holding meetings with representatives of various employee unions.
Cheema, who heads the Cabinet sub-committee on employee issues, interacted with delegations from the Meritorious School Teachers Union, Adhyapak Insaf Committee, Fire Brigade Outsource Employees Union, Fire Brigade Contract Employees Union, and Forest Workers Union.
Discussing their concerns in the presence of senior officials, Cheema said that the Punjab government, under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is committed to ensuring timely resolution of employees' issues.
He added that the sub-committee is regularly engaging with employee representatives to ensure a transparent and responsive grievance redressal system.
