
Chandigarh, March 26 The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) launched a statewide outreach campaign on Thursday to mark four years of its government in Punjab under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
The campaign, titled "Shandaar 4 Saal, Bhagwant Mann de Naal", saw ministers, MLAs, and party leaders visiting over 1,000 villages and urban wards in a single day to highlight the government's achievements.
Power Minister Sanjeev Arora said that about 90 per cent of households are receiving zero electricity bills along with 24-hour power supply.
Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak said that over 92,000 drug smugglers have been arrested and 65,000 government jobs have been given based on merit.
Health Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO said that 985 Aam Aadmi Clinics have provided free treatment to over five crore people, with families receiving up to Rs 10 lakh in cashless health coverage.
Minister Baljit Kaur said that women will receive Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,500 per month under a government scheme.
Education Minister Ravjot Singh said that government schools in Punjab are performing well, with students clearing exams like JEE and NEET.
Minister Mohinder Bhagat said that farmers are receiving free daytime electricity and canal water has reached fields at the tail-end, while payments are being made within 24 hours.
Minister Barinder Kumar Goyal said that families of martyrs are being given Rs 1 crore as compensation, and road accident deaths have reduced by 50 per cent.
The party said that the campaign aims to take government schemes and benefits to every household in the state.
