Chandigarh, March 12 Punjab Industries and Commerce Minister Sanjeev Arora said on Thursday that the Progressive Punjab Investors' Summit 2026 will be held from March 13 to 15 at Plaksha University in SAS Nagar (Mohali) to showcase investment opportunities in the state.
Addressing a press conference here, Arora said the three-day summit will bring together investors, industry leaders, and policymakers from India and abroad to explore economic opportunities in Punjab.
He said the summit will feature 89 sessions, making it one of the most extensive investment events organized in the state.
According to the minister, country-specific sessions will be held for the UK, Japan, and South Korea, in addition to a dedicated session for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Discussions will also focus on Mohali's emerging role as an IT hub, artificial intelligence, and other industrial sectors, along with meetings of sectoral industry committees, he said.
An industrial exhibition will also be organized during the summit, where products and innovations from Punjab's industries will be showcased, Arora added.
He said that AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal will attend the summit as the chief guest, while Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann will inaugurate the event on Friday.
The inaugural session will begin at 11 am and continue until 1:30 pm, followed by a networking lunch and sector-specific sessions, he said, adding that the closing ceremony will take place on March 15.
Arora said delegates and investors from different parts of the world are arriving to participate in the summit, though some participants from the Middle East could not attend due to flight disruptions.
The minister said the summit will highlight Punjab as a major investment destination, especially after the launch of the state's new Industrial and Business Development Policy.
Industrialists have responded positively to the investor-friendly policy framework introduced by the state government, he added.
