
Chandigarh, March 25 Punjab Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond on Wednesday urged the youth to follow the ideals of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh and contribute to nation-building.
He was speaking at a function organized by the Punjab State Food Commission to mark the martyrdom day of Bhagat Singh at the state Kala Bhawan here.
The minister said Bhagat Singh's ideals of justice, equality, and standing against injustice remain relevant and continue to inspire society.
He called on the youth to adopt these values and work with dedication for the country.
Sond also highlighted the role of cultural platforms in preserving the legacy of martyrs and strengthening social unity.
Punjab State Food Commission Chairman Bal Mukand Sharma said efforts are being made to ensure food and nutrition security in the state.
He added that nutrition gardens have been set up in 5,723 schools to spread awareness about balanced diets.
Speakers paid tributes to Bhagat Singh and said his life continues to inspire people, especially the youth, to uphold democratic values and work for a progressive society.
