The Punjab Police have arrested over 10,000 drug smugglers and have seized/demolished their property worth over ₹772 crore, which was acquired through drug money. The police have also recovered 2,267 weapons and seized over 650 vehicles used by criminals in various crimes across the state, in addition to confiscating over 5,600 kilograms of heroin in the last four years.

Speaking during a press conference about the action against criminals before and after the 'Yudh Nasheyan Virudh' campaign, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann stated that the state has adopted a zero-tolerance policy towards criminals and none will be spared. He also announced that ₹54 crore 47 lakh in drug money has been recovered.

He further stated that after the formation of the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF), 2,858 gangsters have been arrested. He also said that the state government is seeking assistance from the Union Ministry of Home Affairs to arrest those gangsters operating from abroad, by issuing various international-level notices against them.
