Galsi, March 25 A woman was killed and at least 30 people were injured after a bus collided with a truck in the Purba Bardhaman district of West Bengal on Wednesday, police said.
The accident occurred on National Highway-19 in the Galigram area, when the bus, which was travelling on the Benachiti-Krishnanagar route, collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction, a senior officer of the Galsi police station said.
The injured passengers were taken to the Burdwan Medical College and Hospital.
"One woman died while receiving treatment at the hospital," another officer said.
Police have initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the collision.
