
April 10, New Delhi: Qatar reaffirmed its commitment as a reliable energy supplier to India on Friday, pledging to deepen cooperation.
This was stated during a meeting between India’s Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep Singh Puri, and Qatari Minister of State for Energy Affairs and President and CEO of Qatar Energy, Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, in Doha.
At the meeting, Minister Puri conveyed the greetings and message of solidarity and support on behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, as well as the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.
Both leaders discussed strengthening bilateral ties in areas such as trade, investment, energy, and culture, while expressing hope for regional peace and stability.
The leaders also welcomed the recent ceasefire and emphasized the need to restore global energy supply stability, ensure smooth trade flows, and maintain freedom of navigation to support global supply chains.
