Puducherry, March 21 Veteran DMK leader R Siva, along with his family, possesses assets worth Rs 24.91 crore, according to an affidavit filed by him with the Election Commission for the April 9 Assembly elections in the union territory, on Saturday.
The Leader of the Opposition owns movable assets worth Rs 2.01 crore, while his wife, S Nirmala, has Rs 4.75 crore, and their daughter, S Santhoshi, holds properties worth Rs 7.63 lakh.
Among the movable properties, the couple owns eight vehicles, including a tractor and an Eicher van.
While 59-year-old Siva does not own any immovable assets under his name, his wife owns agricultural land worth Rs 3.51 crore, non-agricultural land valued at Rs 2.04 crore, commercial buildings worth Rs 6.01 crore, and residential buildings valued at Rs 6.50 crore, totaling Rs 18.06 crore.
The affidavit also stated that the couple owes Rs 6.83 crore in loans from banks and other institutions.
Ravi also owns 300 gm of gold worth Rs 43.95 lakh, while his wife has 750 gram of the precious metal valued at Rs 1.09 crore, and 6,000 grams of silver valued at Rs 16.56 lakh.
The couple's daughter owns 50 gram of gold worth Rs 7.32 lakh, according to the affidavit.
In 2024-25, Siva declared an annual income of Rs 10.37 lakh, while his wife declared an income of Rs 66.27 lakh, it added.
