
Itanagar, March 14 Moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, is very likely in parts of Arunachal Pradesh, according to a weather bulletin issued on Saturday.
An 'orange' alert has been issued for the next 24 hours, warning of moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds, in several districts.
The intensity of the rainfall is likely to range between 5 mm and 15 mm per hour, which may lead to waterlogging in low-lying areas and traffic congestion in some locations, the bulletin said.
While no major damage to structures, communication, or power infrastructure is anticipated, authorities have advised monitoring local conditions and regulating traffic where necessary.
People have been advised to follow guidelines issued by the State Disaster Management Authority and remain cautious during thunderstorms. Motorists have also been urged to check traffic advisories and avoid areas prone to waterlogging while travelling.
Similar weather conditions are expected to persist in some parts of the state in the coming days as well.
