March 06, New Delhi: Speaking at the Raisina Dialogue 2026 in New Delhi on Friday, S. Jaishankar stated that the global order is largely shaped by the West.
He added that expecting the world to remain unchanged from the realities of 1945 or even 1989 is "unrealistic," noting that power has significantly spread across multiple dimensions today.
Speaking at the same event, Alexander Stubb said the ongoing conflicts highlight the urgent need for a new "multilateral moment."
He said the cost of the current multipolar world is too high and stressed that nations must come together to forge a new covenant for peace and security.
