Jaipur, March 12 The Rajasthan Police organized a special virtual awareness program on women's safety on Thursday, involving students and teachers from 820 colleges across the state.

The program, held via video conferencing, focused on cybersecurity and the latest legal provisions related to women's protection.

The program, part of International Women's Day activities, aimed to raise awareness among young people about women's safety and their role in creating a secure environment, ADG Civil Rights Lata Manoj Kumar said.

She addressed students from a college and urged them to be vigilant about women's safety, seek police assistance in emergencies, and actively contribute to a safe society.

She also demonstrated the RajCOP Citizen App and explained its usage for reporting and assistance. The RajCOP Citizen App is the app of the Rajasthan police through which citizens can file complaints and track their registered FIRs and complaints.

Commissioner of College Education Om Prakash Bairwa highlighted the importance of social responsibility and encouraged students to promote respect for women and make full use of the RajCOP Citizen App during emergency situations.

DIG Cyber Crime Vikas Kumar gave a presentation on online scams, emerging cyber crime methods, and preventive measures, while DIG Crime Branch Deepak Bhargav briefed participants on the new criminal codes and key legal provisions related to women's safety.
