Mumbai, March 21 – Praising the emotional depth of "Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge," filmmaker S. S. Rajamouli has lauded actor R. Madhavan in a heartfelt post.
In a post on his social media account, the acclaimed filmmaker, tagging R. Madhavan, wrote, “You portrayed the helplessness and frustration of a nation so well that we felt your success as our own.”
Rajamouli then went on to praise the sequel's scale and storytelling. He said, "I loved Dhurandhar-1, but The Revenge surpassed the original in both scale and emotional impact."
He added, "The writing, casting, technical execution, music, world design, and direction are all flawless… But it's the emotional stakes that truly make the film resonate."
The Baahubali director further added, "The writing manages to create plot twists that generate genuine tension filled with emotion. @AdityaDharFilms, you have exceeded our expectations. It takes courage to create and release a 4-hour-long film. The audience was completely engrossed from the very beginning to the final frame."
Lauding the performances of the stars in the film, he added, "@RanveerOfficial, what a performance! The scene with your sister in the shed is a masterclass in acting. From the beginning to the heart-wrenching climax, you captivated us as both Hamza and Jaskirat."
Regarding R. Madhavan's role in "Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge," he added that it has added depth to the narrative, further grounding the larger-than-life story in a realistic and human context.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the Dhurandhar franchise has become one of the most talked-about cinematic ventures.
The first part, released last December, saw theaters across the country running at full capacity, highlighting a resurgence in the theatrical industry after the COVID-19 pandemic.
The sequel, "Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge," which premiered on March 19, has since taken both the internet and theaters by storm.
The film features a stellar cast led by Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Rakesh Bedi, Sara Arjun, and Arjun Rampal, alongside R. Madhavan.
