
Jaipur, April 1 Two men drowned in a canal in Hanumangarh, Rajasthan, on Wednesday while performing religious rituals, police said.
The incident occurred in the Sadul Branch canal in the Hanumangarh Junction area when Mohit Swami (20) slipped while immersing ritual materials, and Aman Bajigar (19) and Mohit Thalod (19) jumped in to rescue him, Additional SP Arvind Vishnoi said.
A disaster management team later pulled them out and rushed them to the district hospital, police said.
Swami and Bajigar died, while Thalod is reportedly in stable condition, the SP said.
