
Jaipur, March 14 Light rain accompanied by strong winds are likely in several parts of Rajasthan due to the impact of a western disturbance, the meteorological department said on Saturday.
Light dust storms and rain or drizzle may occur in isolated areas of the Ajmer, Jaipur, and Bharatpur divisions, as well as the Shekhawati region, and the districts of Ganganagar and Hanumangarh, along with surrounding areas, on Sunday.
On Saturday, Barmer was the hottest place in the state, with a high of 39 degrees Celsius, followed by 38.8 degrees Celsius in Chittorgarh, 38.4 degrees Celsius in Phalodi, 37.6 degrees Celsius in Jaisalmer, 36.3 degrees Celsius in Bikaner, and 35.9 degrees Celsius in Churu.
Another western disturbance is expected to become active between March 19 and 21, which may also bring thunderstorms and rain in some areas.
The department said that the maximum temperature in most parts of the state is likely to remain below 40 degrees Celsius over the next week.
