Rajasthan Repairs Rural Roads After Utility Work.webp

Jaipur, March 28 Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said on Saturday that the state government is committed to strengthening rural infrastructure and road networks, with repair work on damaged rural roads commencing across the state.

According to an official statement, the Public Works Department has begun repairing roads affected by utility works such as irrigation and drinking water pipelines in several districts, including Barmer, Jalore, Deeg, Jaisalmer, Alwar, Dungarpur, Kotputli, Hanumangarh, Jodhpur, Bhilwara, and Udaipur.

The repairs aim to fix road cuts made during utility installations and restore roads to a motorable condition, providing relief to residents.

Officials said that district collectors and other administrative authorities have been directed to closely monitor the work to ensure timely execution.

This move follows similar repair efforts in urban areas and is expected to improve connectivity in rural regions and help reduce road accidents, the statement said.
